Driving beats, harmonic gimmicks, noisy interventions as well as delicate and shrill drones can be found in the debut album of Jason Nazary & Tizia Zimmermann. The two skillfully blend acoustic and electronically generated sounds or allow them to collide. They meander organically through the different worlds of sound, building up arcs of tension that crumble unexpectedly and end in noisy atmospheres. Smudged pointillism slowly blurs into an acoustic blanket, rubbing dissonances with soothing harmonies.
