Lauren Kinsella and Alex Huber originally met in Lucerne 2009 and soon realized they wanted to work together. Having recorded in Zurich under Dave Liebman at the IASJ Meeting, they later came together in Berlin 2010, to begin exploring new material within the freedom and limitations that present itself with duo free play. The first result is the recording "All this talk about", inspired by the poems of Ted Hughes and the atmosphere of the recording studio at the old Funkhaus Berlin Nalepastrasse, in the Ex-Eastern part of Berlin. Since then, they have played in Paris with the Onze Heures Onze Collective, Berlin and this June sees their first London tour, which include collaborations with drummer Mark Sanders and electronic artist Will Edmondes, two stalwart artists on the London and UK free improv scene.
All compositions by Alex Huber and Lauren Kinsella. Tracks 1, 3 & 6
are inspired by Ted Hughes' The Thought-Fox from his collection "Hawk In
The Rain". Recorded at P1, Berlin, September 11th 2010 by Marco
Birkner. Mixed and Mastered by Christian Betz. Artwork by Louise Ward.
Layout by Peter Murray. Produced for WideEarRecords by Alex Huber.
